Interpreting service charges
TIS National provides interpreting on a fee-for-service basis.

Book an interpreter
On-site interpreters can be requested through the TIS Online automated on-site booking system.
Pre-booked phone interpreters can be requested through the online phone interpreter booking form.
Booking requests will only be accepted up to three months in advance for both pre-booked phone and on-site interpreting jobs. The minimum booking times are 30 minutes for a pre-booked phone interpreter or 90 minutes for an on-site interpreter.
Cancellations for pre-booked phone or on-site assignments must be made at least 24 hours prior to the appointment start time in order to avoid charges.
Cancel an on-site interpreter booking
To cancel an on-site interpreting job, you must:
- where a booking is made using TIS Online, cancel the booking using the TIS Online account; or
- where a booking is not made using TIS Online, send an email to email@example.com with the job details (including the job number).

Cancel a pre-booked phone interpreter booking
To cancel a pre-booked phone interpreter, please email your request to cancel the booking to firstname.lastname@example.org with the job details (including the job number).
When a pre-booked phone or on-site service is cancelled with less than 24 hours' notice, you will still be charged for the service in accordance with the TIS National Cancellation Policy. A booking for multiple-day interpreting with less than 24 hours' cancellation notice will attract a cancellation fee equivalent to the charge for a full day's work, including interpreter travel time and costs (if applicable).
